Lunenberg, Nova Scotia

Blue Nose I was a  schooner which was built around the 1930's  I believe.  The Canadians had challenged the US to a schooner race and lost.   So they went back to the drawing board and built the Blue Nose I.   It was undefeated in the all other challenges.  Blue Nose II (reconstruction of the orginal schooner) is now being refurbished and will be launched at the beginning of 2013.  They will use it to sail around the world just as a good-will ambassador.
Fisheries Museum in Lunenberg.
